Volunteering is fun, big time.
Being a Big Brother or Big Sister is one of the most enjoyable things you’ll ever do. Not to mention, one of the most fulfilling. You have the opportunity to help shape a child’s future for the better by empowering him or her to achieve. And the best part is, it’s actually a lot of fun. You and your Little can share the kinds of activities you already like to do.
Play sports together. Go on a hike. Read books. Eat a pizza with extra anchovies. Or just give some advice and inspiration. Whatever it is you enjoy, odds are you’ll enjoy it even more with your Little—and you’ll be making a life-changing impact.
Volunteering just 4-8 hours a month with a child can start something amazing- for both you and a Little.
How can I volunteer?
Men can be a Big Brother, matched with a Little Brother. Women can be a Big Sister, matched with a Little Sister. But did you know that you can also be a Big Couple or a Big Family?
As a Big Couple, you and your significant other will volunteer together and will be matched with one child. By being a Big Couple, you can impact a child's life without sacrificing time with your significant other. As a Big Family, you'll have the same advantages of being a Big Couple, with the added benefit of instilling the value of volunteering to your children.
Either way, you'll spend a few hours per month sharing fun activities you both enjoy. Matches typically see each other 2-3 times a month, and it's flexible based on your schedule.
